i have been waiting for this such concert for 3 years since the last BEYOND farewell concert in 2005 which is BEYOND THE STORY LIVE 2005…this time though it will be a new era of concert from the remaining members of the band to perform in what so called “黃貫中x葉世榮 BEYOND NEXT STAGE LIVE 2008″

Originaly,i was to attend 2 concerts in Genting & S’pore respectively but due to 葉世榮 fall sick a few days before the Genting show,and therefore will be postponed to a later date which is yet to be confirm…anyway the S’pore show will go on and so i was there…can’t wait for it to start even for 1minute…well this time the concert theme as you guys know it is not about BEYOND concert as only 黃貫中 & 葉世榮 will perform a crossover concert..it is about the remaining members of the band on how they have progressed as solo musician…they best part???well they might have been solo musician and will perform their own songs from their solo careers but they will called for the fans to shout for old BEYOND songs they like and 黃貫中 or 葉世榮 will deliver the songs the fans request…

the show start with some display on the giant screen and some rocking music with it…i’m ready at this time to head bang for the night,also ready to lost my voice…you imagine 3 years without rock concert for me how eager am i to have fun…葉世榮 appear on the stage first with his back up band called “EVER” with the song “我们的梦想”…it was this time fans were up in their seats to welcome their favourite singer to the stage…世榮 later proceed with another of his own song before came the 3rd song of the night where he asked if anyone in the hall would like to hear some old BEYOND old song…well in my heart i was thinking “舊日的足跡” coz its was one of my favourite old BEYOND songs…and yes when the first key note of the keyboard came in i was overjoyed coz it is really the song that i wanted..then 世榮 proceed with some slow songs like “LOVE”, “蓝蓝的天”, “一鼓作气”, “AMANI”, plus other old BEYOND hit like “不再猶豫”, “歲月無聲” and of course not to forget the famous “海闊天空”…in between 世榮 managed to introduced his band to the audience while Funky gave a splendid drum solo performance together with 世榮 as well…after singing “歲月無聲” 世榮 leave the stage to pass the show to Paul黃貫中 for his rocking session…Paul was asking the audience whether are we all ready to Rock ‘N’ Rock and the whole hall was bursted into hard rock mood…Paul started off with his heavy stuff of “踩界” and everyone was in hard rocking mood with fans jumping,head banging around…this is what i called a rock concert should be…Paul then move on with other heavy stuff like “我就是这样的”, “我是憤怒” before move on to some other stuff like “長城”, “大地”, “焦得比”, “情人” and “深紫色高跟鞋”….all night long i was thinking and shouting when will Paul sing one of BEYOND old rock stuff which is “金屬狂人”..this will be my all favourite rock stuff from BEYOND days…encore part i was hoping they will perform this song…they appear on stage again and this Paul and 世榮 band combined together for a crossover rock concert…wow!!in this session they perform “打不死”, “真的愛你” and finally my wish is granted when Paul was saying it doesnt fitting enough for the concert without this song…..”金屬狂人” finally on show with 世榮 playing the drum while Paul as usual in his guitar…it was a real hardcore rock of a show…just like when BEYOND play in the old underground days…the last song for the concert end with no other than the old BEYOND hit song in “光輝歲月” before Paul and 世榮 say goodbye to the thousands of fans in the hall…it was a real hard rock concert with full energy from Paul fantastic guitar skill to 世榮 drum solo everything you named it this concert has it all…well of course i also enjoyed their back up musician like 世榮’s band EVER and his drum friend in Funky all the way from Japan,he gave us a great drum solo..from Paul’s side as far as i know only as few name like Jimmy(LMF) playing bass guitar, Ah Kei on guitar and i cant remember the drummer from Paul’s side but he is a good drummer as well…at the same time i meet some new BEYOND fans not only from S’pore & Malaysia but all the way from China….nice to know & meet them…we share a lot of moments together…

finally,i was too tired after the concert but was able to meet with Paul黃貫中 at Changi Airport to get his autograph on one of his mandarin album “我在存在” and also my BEYOND NEXT STAGE t-shirt…and of course have a photo taken with him as well…was unable to catch up with 世榮 flight departure but still i was happy for this trip…..

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FOREVER…..

got to know about this competition frm people who spread the infomation around but didnt get the entry form till the last dateline for the entry but was given extra day to fill up the entry form…my cocktail creation was simple,it’s either with rum base or vodka base…but after having a look at the entry form’s rules & regulation plus the list of ingriedient they will provided,i’ve decided to use both for my cocktail…all we need to do is make 2 cocktail each for DeKuyper & 42Below category…DeKuyper i will do with rum, melon, triple-sec, p’apple juice, orange juice & lime juice while for the 42Below i make with vodka,passionfruit,aprikot brandy,creme d banana,lime juice & top up with sprite/7-up…well in truth i never targeted to do well in this competition as i’m still new to bar competition world even i’m in this field more than 5years…but anyway i was hoping for the best after receiving some good comments from my working colleagues when they try out both my cocktail creation…they have different views on the each cocktail they tried…so now i just concentrate on my flairing skills…the bonus part is that the organiser made a decision that all former champion or legends are not allowed to take part in this competition..what a relief for me..but there is more news…there is no points awarded for flairing skills..just for cocktail…all the cocktail will be judges by appearance(40points), taste(30points) and aroma(30points)…we are still allowed to flair but no extra points will be given….that is a boost for me coz my flairing skill is not as good as all those exprience bar men frm clubs…so i hope to enter at least one of the finals be it either DeKuyper or 42Below…on the competition day i was so nervous coz i will be the first 3 contestant to do our cocktail together…my preparation was not that good plus my mind was not 100% focus…made some stupid mistake where the cocktail is blended instead of shaking it…what a mess…gone for DeKuyper category…but still i manage to do my cocktail into 2 layer colour cocktail…but all the damage had been done enough to shut my chance of entering the final…now only hope for the best in the 42Below session…most of the contestant were doing very well and i’m very impressed with them…42Below session start and this time i make little mistake and did it on time to complete the cocktail..eveyrthing is done now leave to God to decide which final i should qualify or maybe not any of them…15 bartender took part in each session and only 8 will be choosen to contest in the penang region final round…the emcee are ready to announce the finalist frm each session…DeKuyper result out first..i was clapping for the first 2 finalist untill when the emcee say out the 3rd finalist,its my name and i was so shock for it…still it is an achievement for me…i didnt make it to 42Below final…so now i only have less than 24 hours to make a new cocktail or use the same cocktail by making some changes to the existing one…but i’m too tired to think of that so i went home straight and sleep…the next day when i wake up i still couldnt find any ideas for the final..well its actually good that i dont have any ideas for as i’m not the people’s favourite choice to win it let alone go for 1st runner up…coz these 2 winners will represent pg for the grand finals in KL next month…so therefore i dont have any pressure to do well…just relax…i only made up my mind at the very last moment of what to do to my cocktail…i made some changes to it…rename it to E&O Heritage instead of Francis Light Sensation and also took out p’apple juice and replace it with 42Below Passionfruit…the rest remain the same…u thought this time i will at least be the 4th or 5th contestant but i’m the 1st one…ok this time i prepare very well indeed and make no mistake this time for my cocktail…i didnt flair at all in the final as i think its a waste of time doing it…so my cocktail is done and just have to wait till the end of the session and also the 42Below session…in the meantime all the contestant were having some fun time drinking all the way…for me i can have time off frm my work stress…to tell u guys the truth,the current bar manager at my workplace is SUCKS…lousy manager n show no respect for his staff…useless FUCKER,maybe becoz he is also a Liverpool fans…ya all Liverpool people are useless…its not the first time i see it…so the results are ready…iwas actually already packing ready to leave the place(MOIS) while they announce the 42Below winner n 1st runner-up…the winner went to G Hotel bartender while the 1st runner-up went to Bulat(nickname) frm Parkroyal Hotel…now for the DeKuyper category…the emcee announce the 1st runner-up……..its KELVIN LENG!!!i was again in shock mood…start asking myself "anything wrong with my hearing or am i dreaming??"…i didnt believe i make it..not just the prize of 1st runner-up but will be going to the grand finals in KL…wow!!this is the best achievement in my working life so far….even better than getting salary increase or bonus payment or work promotion…i’m on cloud nine…the winner is Yus frm TGI Fridays…well well,i’m speechless for the next 2days of my life…suddenly i want to thanked so many people for their support for me…my close friends,my colleagues, my family, my "sifu" Rizal(now with rasa sayang) a lot more people..also thanks to rock band BEYOND coz i use their music for my music background during the competition…now i will try my best for the grand finals in KL next month coz the winner will get to represent Malaysia in the DeKuyper Cocktail World Cup 2008 in Holland…lastly i thanked God for everything that i achieved for in my life…

well this is the only roadshow that i have not won or even qualify for the final..the previous 2 attempts in 2006 & 2007 were really down…still remember in 2006 for my 1st year in Team Havoc & 1st year in PS2 racing game competition…i was disqualified for technical reasons jst because Honda organisers are really suck as they never stated in black & white that all contestant are not allowed to try more than once to qualify for the finals on sunday…i was the fastest driver in my session but because i was involved the day before with erik then my time was null & void…2007 i played well on saturday with the fastest time untill the last moment when a guy beats my time and enter the final…this time its down to bad luck & not the stupid rules by Honda at least…now 2008  was very determined to do very well as this time Honda make its rules very clear that previous years finalist are not allowed to take part in the roadshow…so i was hoping this is my chance to make it to the final even though it might be hard as i should know that Q’bay mall is still not our team’s favourite ground…only 1 win so far…so make my time free on friday last session at 8pm…i was the 4th person in the line up…the 1st 2 contestant failed so teribble that i know they are not my "rival"…their best time will be only 1min45secs…i was confident because i can dip it below 1min42secs as i do play at home for the sepang track…so its my turn now and again really put m focus 200% for it…i think i’m felling great as this Honda sterling are much better than those used by Petronas roadshow the week before…i was really fast that caught everyone paying attention to me…lap1 my time was 1min44secs…so easy for even in the 1st lap & so the lead in times…lap2 my time inproved to 1min42secs & now for the last lap i decided to pull back my driving style in order not to show off too much…still even though i relax in the last lap my time is still 1min42secs…now i jst waited for the seesion to finish to qualify for the final & indeed i’m the winner for that session..finally i got the final at the 3rd attempt…lady luck on my side for now…lets move on to sunday’s final…on my way to Q’bay my bike rear tyre was punture…looks like bad omen for me…upon reaching there all the finalist are almost there…jst have to wait for them to start…8 finalist are going to battle it out for the 2 grandstand ticket for the F1 Malaysian GP in Sepang..the Honda select the Monaco track hard mode and heavy rain for all the contestant…i dont like rain actually…not that really good in those condition…if erik were to be there we are confident he will win it,no doubt…well i failed to win it but the least i got to the final this time round…still i will be going to Sepang anyway…

so the new F1 season is back again..Malaysia will be hosting the 2nd round of the F1 world championship in march & here the fever is back again with the Petronas Roadshow nationwide…me as a defending champion frm last year(winning all 3 days competition with the fastest time)will be out to do it all again & prove that my win last year was not a fluke…its friday 22nd feb & as usual i was the early bird to be there at the roadshow…this year Petronas moved to Q’bay mall after so many years at Gurney Plaza…well our team is kind not that favour this mall as we still looking for our 1st win here let alone a podium finish…u can say this is not our team(Team Havoc)lucky ground…erik lost here so many times and i will be for the 1st time compete at this mall…hope to break the jinx…back to the roadshow and i waited for so long for it to get started but the organiser seems like not doing their job…when it do get started it doesnt seem like there is competition,only for testing…so i took to the field and try its simulator challenge..frm what i’ve try out,the sterling is not in proper condition as its alignment is totally out…i left at 5pm when the competition is still not started…the next day i went again & of course the emcee started to look at me and he can recognise me…this time the simulator no longer using the old format where its usually whoever gets the fastest time will win the ticket for the F1 race in sepang..this time its anyone who succeed in getting into top3 of the race simulator will get the grandstand ticket worth RM500..while a top 5 finish will get RM100…the previous day nobody even myself can get into top18 let alone top3…and then suddenly there is this guy wanted to try and the emcee asking him "do u have PS2 at home??u know how to play??"…that guy replied "no i dont have any n dont know how to play.." my mind was thinking he will finish last in the race against the simulator…now my mind was thinking our team wont be going to sepang coz its tough challenge coz we are not challenge each other but the simulator…to my horror shock,by the end of the 1st lap(3laps race)that guy was at P9…i was thinking "what the F***?"…no PS2 at home and dont know how to play the game still can get top10 by the end of 1st lap???my mind was fired up…i need to save to face n pride of all those PS2 owners with F1 racing games or else this is like end of the world for me…coz even me couldnt get into top10 as the sterling is totally out…spoil…but wat to do??need to face it…in the end he got 5th place finish and got the RM100 ticket…now its my turn to try and i need to focus 200% for the face & pride of all PS2 owners and also Team Havoc…i’ve never been so under pressure in Petronas Roadshow…i have some doubts about myself…can i do it???feel like i need to race well like i need to win the world championship…the race started where i start frm last place on the grid…went into 1st corner everything goes well,up to P10 straight into 2nd corner its now P6…i keep my cool down and keep focus on the track…i’m chasing the P5 driver…by the end of the 1st lap P4…and by this time the emcee were all looking at me…the emcee started to give "live" commentator about me…i can feel the whole mall is looking at me also…but my mind still keep focusing of the race….lap2 and now i’m in P2 catching the leader…everything looking good for me to win the RM500 ticket provided i dont make any errors…the emcee was saying its enough for me to win the ticket but i want to win the 1st place in the race so i give everything i have…4th corner final lap i overtook the leader and P1 and the whole mall plus the emcee went wild & frenzy…i’m leading the race now…its final lap and i need to focus till the end…keep my cool down…when i reach the 14th corner and the long pg straight i’m sure i’m gonna finish 1st…when turn into final corner everything was put to rest…the emcee announce that i’m the 1st person in the country throughout the nationwide roadshow to won the race in P1…i’m so estatic,speechless,on cloud nine…what else could describe my feeling now…WOW!!!the emcee brought up to the stage and the whole mall was paying attention to me…i was jokingly said to the emcee if i could do a michael schumacher victory jump and he say can…but anyway thats not my plan…before the give me the ticket he really wanted me to do the jump…so i did it to the applause of the many crowds there…while the guy that finish P5 looks stunned at me…the next day the final day of the roadshow i was barred frm taking part as the emcee told me to give chance to other ppl to win some prizes…so now our team hope erik will something but in the end of the day he fail…anyway the team breaks its jinx with the 1st victory although overall it was not so good where erik failed again for the 2nd year in a row at Petronas…next 1 week away is the Honda F1 roadshow at the same venue again…hope for better luck…at the end of the Petronas Roadshow i’m still the best in the country again with PS2 F1 racing…

its a long time since i blog here…a lot to say…stay tuned for my blog soon…frm the petronas F1 roadshow till the current event…year 2008 started well for me as before the end of 2007 i was interviewed by local pg chinese newspaper for their carrer segment & was published out on 25th december…hahaha…ok let me end here and will be back soon for more blog…

went to the Happy Saturday GIG…finally get to see Uglymen live for the 1st time…they were good not only with their music skills or their vocal voice but also able to mingle with the crowd very well..other band there like NAO,Ocean of Fire,Coma and a few others good band…hope to have more of this event in the future…well done to Kelvyn frm Ocean of Fire for running this event…Kudos….

went to KL at noon frm Pg jst to watch Steve Wong Ka Keung or known as KK among BEYOND fans..he will perform with his own band called KOLOR…reach there and the 1st person i meet is chew ling,2 years aftr we meet in s’pore for BEYOND farewell concert..got the ticket frm her and then wait for Ten to come…saw a lot of ppl even though its rain…then i called Ten and meet up with him..we chat a lot coz aftr long time never meet each other…as usual lah we chat nothing but jst about BEYOND or rock music…its 8pm already but the event still not start…if its real BEYOND concert it would hv been started but this is MCA,u know lah…they hv to wait for those usueless polictian ppl to come…they always late…the event actually a merdeka concert for our country but KK was invited together with Hacken Lee for the show while the rest is our local artiste..when the event finally get going,all the local artiste perform..well i can see that most of them are still lack in many area…especially their voice toning…the so called malaysian idol Daniel???OMG…worse cant even sing with the right rythm..sucks..most of the audience there i can say they dont know wat is music…coz most of them fans of Daniel,Nicholas Teo or dont know what other local artiste name lah coz i dont follow that much becoz of their low standard with the exception of Penny Tai which i can say good..when its KK turn to perform most of BEYOND fans went wild and frenzy and as usual show our support by showing the old BEYOND traditional hand signs..KK start with the old production of "guang hui sui ye"…all of sudden my mind start to remember back those good old days during BEYOND concert in KL n S’pore…i hv to admit that i really BEYOND as a band even though they still sing as a solo artiste..i grew up listen to their songs everyday without fail…i seldom listen to other artiste song..only BEYOND through the years..many of my friends says i’m a very boring guy coz only listen rock music,but i like what i like so i never bother what they say…KK then sing a new song frm his latest album which is a mandarin song…aftr the show end we went to Jln Alor for supper and also our BEYOND fans gathering…meet some old fans like Chew Ling,Winnie,Ten,Angie,Koma,Ah Fook and some others i cant recall their names…at the show also i meet with Michelle frm ipoh…well aftr the gathering ended its time for us to go home…well actually i need to go back to pg…its sounds crazy to come all the way frm pg to KL jst to watch KK perform 2 songs…i know my frens in pg sure will say that i real crazy but who cares…coz Rock ‘n’ Roll never dies…BEYOND FOREVER…lastly i wish to thank Ten,Koma,Angie,Ah Fook,Chew Ling,Winnie and others for that good night event…

it’s a shock news that Manchester United player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announces his decision to retire from playing..he has been injured for the past few years but did play a part in United’s title triumph last season and got the Premiership medal..he is one of United’s legend coz he gave so much to United..the hero for ur team in Nou Camp 1999 where he score the winning goal in injury time against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final to cmplete the Treble..thanks Ole for the memories..i wish all the best for his next part of life after playing days..OLE OLE OLE OLE 20LEGEND….

the month of june will always be remember by all BEYOND fans around the world no matter how busy they are..it’s the month of Ka Kui’s birthday on 10th june and the day he left us 30th june..he may be gone but his spirit for music never dies even for 1 seconds..he will not be forgotten as long as all the BEYOND fans still live..BEYOND is the reason i love music..their songs,music and words inspired our life…growing up listen to their songs even after Ka Kui’s death..for Ka Kui,he will be remember not only this month but everyday as we listen to all those music and song of BEYOND..rest in peace Ka Kui..

YES!!!WE ARE CHAMPIONS AGAIN…for the record 9th time..we are the "King of Premiership"…it’s time to shut the bloody mouth of that fucking Jose Mour-ego-ho mouth…Special??what is special???he is special???well not anymore coz we just won the league this season…i have supported MU since 1990 and went through ups and downs few times…but my heart will always stick to this team no matter if they are not champions or didn’t played well..i’m not like those other people in Malaysia who nowadays called themself Chelsea fans but know nothing about the club’s history…know why???coz these people are all only supported the winning teams…i called these people "Glory Hunter" or poeple who know nothing about football at all…a true fans will always try to know the teams’s background or history but those Chelsea fans out there in Malaysia know nothing at all and they dare to admit they are Chelsea fans long time ago but when i ask them some simple question about Chelsea they can’t even answer it correct..my question is when Chelsea played in the 1994 F.A Cup final at Wembley,who is their opponent and what is the final score??u guess what they say??they either say forgot(which is not a good reason)or say hostory not important..so i hit back at them whether they are Glory Hunters or not…it shows that they just support Chelsea just becoz they are champions for the past 2 years or when they win…these people are not real football fans…i stick with MU even when they lose to other teams…i never turn my back to the team that i support…then there is this bunch of fuckers or so called bloody fools people who try to show their 5 times European Champion,18 times English League champions…the team that i mean here–>Liverpool..ooppps sorry it should be called Liverfools…come on we know u are 18 times champions and we are just 16 times,we know u are 5 times european champions and we are just 2 times…but we got 11 times F.A Cup champs and also in case for those Liverpool fans out there dont know about this fact–>we have won the World Club Cup in 1999..Liverpool did went there but end losers with the latest in 2005 when they lost to Sao Paulo..hahahah we are the one and only British club World Champion…so for Liverpool u are only a "jaguh kampung"(village champion)..MU have already won every competition in they compete in…so in conclusion we have finish our job to conquer the world…the rest of the teams try harder man…there is a lot more facts to be blog here but i prefer to say it out person to person…oh ya,in case if u guys want to try ask me about MU history,just go ahead..at least i know about the club’s history…if i know i will answer,if don’t know then i say i don’t know…coz at least i’m real MU fans…actually i have a few friends that were MU fans but when they see Arsenal won the league they support Arsenal(Ass rsenal)then when they see Chelsea won the league they support Chelsea pula…they are fake football fans…shame on them…ok before i end here..something i gonna share…recently UEFA release s statement that Liverpools are the worst among the rest…i like that statement…then this is special that i wanna share here…
